Lacquer & Chrome 'TRV' Bar Coffee Table by Willy Rizzo, Italy 1970s

An exceptionally rare and chic 'TRV' coffee table designed by Willy Rizzo in the 1970s. The base is black laminate on wood, with a custom off-white and gold-specked lacquered top. The chrome tray at the center can be used as a dry bar, planter or magazine holder. Signed ‘Willy Rizzo’ and 'Made in Italy' at base. 
 
 
WILLY RIZZO (1928 - 2013) was an Italian designer and photographer. He began his photography career in Paris during the 1940s and quickly grew in recognition, eventually exhibiting all over the world. In 1968, he moved to Rome where he began to design modern furniture. In 1970, he opened his own workshop with great success. His pieces are in the collections of museums such as the Museum of Modern Art and continue to be highly collectable.

CONDITION: Excellent, unaltered vintage condition, sourced from the original owner. A subtle hairline fracture can be seen in the lacquer on the tabletop and is noted in the photos.
